Le Colombier

We first found Le Colombier about four years ago and have been returning ever since. We now have a seasonal pitch and spend up to 4 months of the year there. The flora & fauna are spectacular through the whole summer and the woodland walks a delight. There is plenty to do on site without being overwhelmed and the camping area so large that you never feel cramped. Facilities are very good but a bit limited at the very beginning and end of the season, there is always hot water and the spa bath a wonderful treat on a chilly autumn day.

We have been a few times with Suntreckers. Very friendly with good facilities which the Club is constantly improving. The food is excellent as is the bar. We have always been made most welcome by the Club members even though as visitors we don't put much back in, other than over the bar! We have not used the pool in winter but with a limited budget I think the Club is doing a brilliant job.

Very isolated, basic site. No water on site or any other facilities. The site is a SSSI which is why it is so basic I believe. Wonderful if you want to get away from everyday hustle & bustle. Not advised to go naked on the huge beach as the locals shout abuse and complain to the local council & police which causes problems for the Club. We were club members for a few years but now spend a lot of time in France during the summer.
