After a soggy night at Las Grullas we decided to head south and made our way to Almanat. Not sure what I expected the site to be like but was a little disappointed by the regimental layout. Again we were one of three tents surrounded by the biggest motorhomes I have ever seen. Weather was a bit hit and miss, but we did meet some lovely people during our 10 night stay. The toilet/shower block is spotless and has a cleaner there nearly 24/7. Lots of hot water and great showers. Bar was pleasant enough although I was not impressed by the food.

Slightly off hand and disinterested booking system unless you are staying for a month or more. Deposit by bank transfer only as cards are not taken for anything!!!
Friendly reception on arrival and offered what they say is all that is available. The allocated pitch will be the best they can offer although others are quite obviously empty but "booked". Pitches are very hard to get on with anything over 7m long unless you book a larger pitch in the new area which is pretty grim at the moment being either a dustbowl or quagmire depending upon the weather. Vast but only loo block is kept spotless and there is plenty of hot water. Pitches have 8/10/or12 amps getting progressively dearer the more you want. 6kva per day is included in the price and chargeable after even with ACSI. All have non potable water but no drains so it can be quite a slog to empty out and collect potable water. Very much a "perms" site and tourers are second class citizens. All nationalities in evidence but Spanish and English are the primary languages. Over priced and un-welcoming bar/rest', small shop with fresh bread etc however there is a large Mercadona 1.5km.Buses run to everywhere from site road entrance from early am to late pm. Owners are more concerned with money making than customer satisfaction yet the place is always packed presumably because there is no other Naturist site open in winter in this region. We will not be back and will stay 150 miles further north at our preferred naturist destination.

Site is large but most of the pitches are small and difficult to get in and out of. Recently some newer larger pitches have been created. These are more expensive. Have been several times mainly in the winter. Site is full of North european "snow birds" who stay the whole winter. They are very cliquy. The brits don't tend to join in with the others. We played i a boules tournament and were the only brits.
Site has indoor and outdoor pools. boules court, children's play area and a restaurant on the beach. Site does organise activities ie spanish lessons (3 different levels) celebrations for local fiestas.

We enjoyed our stay here. The campsite was spottless and well set out. The pool was good and the beach easy to access and very nice. The bar on the beach did good light meals too.fair price, flat pitches for tents.

We have visited this campsite in June 2014 and we do agree with the other two comments. This place is perfect and Torre del Mar is a nice town.
We have stayed in a bungalow, which was clean and very well equipped. We certainly recommend this.

When you travel by plane and rent a car it might be a good idea to explore also the other side of Malaga and visit the naturist place Costa Natura. As the Costa del Sol is the whole year round a good region to stay, you can even do this in Autumn or Winter time.

Superb in every way

We have visited and re-visited this site for several years, pinning down a reason is not always easy.
We love nearby Torre de Mar, we like the people who are there, both staff and year on year residents and visitors. Last year there was a fire nearby and the way we were treated by the management was incredible. We were all treated to a meal and free drinks which lasted for many hours. This treatment of guests certainly cemented a degree of loyalty but I am still not sure of the attraction. The beach? Perhaps. The toilet block! perhaps that is it, always spotless and being cleaned... no it cannot be that. It must be the whole package, nothing off the map but everything that suites us; that's it!

Me and my wife (we're both 60) have been here for almost three weeks during the summer of 2006. We enjoyed our stay even though most visitors were Spanish (unfortunately, most of them have taken their telly with them and some were a little deaf).
The beautiful beach can be reached through a door of which you're provided a key upon arrival. On the beach you can enjoy a harty meal in an authentic Spanish restaurant. Waste in collected from your pitch everyday. The washing room and the sanitary units are excellent.
Highly recommended!
